e2e is a dynamic programme of learning helping young people aged 16-18 enter employment and further learning.
Our programmes are individually designed and tailored to meet the particular needs of each learner. All programmes include a mix of training in occupational skills (e.g. construction, business administration, retail etc), literacy and numeracy and personal/social skills.
Our learners have the opportunity to participate in work experience and to achieve a recognised qualification.
We also offer our learners the chance to try something new and challenging during their programme, including film making, outward bound activity and residentials. Learners are eligible for EMA and receive travel expenses. Additional bonuses are payable for agreed objectives.
Important News
The e2e programme is currently undergoing a major review to make it more suited to the needs of all young people.
From August 2007 we will be launching a three tier e2e programme. The three tier model will operate as follows:-
Tier 1 Gateway - a short programme offering a range of stimulating learning opportunities
Tier 2 Hub - the ‘core’ programme offering basic, vocational and personal development skills, access to accredited qualifications and work experience.
Tier 3 Transition - a short programme preparing leavers from tier 2 for a full apprenticeship, FE or job with training.
Young people wishing to access these learning opportunities should contact the Local Connexions Office for advice and assistance. Our model encourages learners to progress through the tiers described.
