Programme Content: |
Learners will be offered advice and training in personal and social
development, Skills for Life sessions, plus help with progressing on to
their chosen vocational area for further training or employment.
Typical sessions will include use of the new ICT facilities, trips out,
visiting speakers, communal cookery, arts and crafts, as well as jobsearch,
literacy and numeracy.
There may be opportunities for work experience if appropriate, particularly
in the warehousing, retail and catering sectors. |

Key Learning Outcomes : |
The National Children's Centre is an approved centre for AQA accreditation.
Courses on appropriate subjects, typically independent living skills, drugs
and alcohol awareness, health and safety, and first aid, will be offered.
